Burning Steppes Quests
Complete the Burning Steppes storylines listed below.
Burning Steppes Quests is a 10-point achievement earned by completing the Burning Steppes storylines, beginning with a breadcrumb from Thorium Point in Searing Gorge that leads to a small camp south of Blackrock Mountain.
Pick Up Breadcrumb Quest
Start by picking up the breadcrumb quest from Thorium Point in Searing Gorge, or alternatively from Mouton Flamestar, which will direct you to Flamestar Post south of Blackrock Mountain.
Begin at Flamestar Post
At Flamestar Post, pick up Done Nothing Wrong from Mouton Flamestar, then Burning Vengeance from Ariok.
Take Three Quests Together
Pick up Stocking Up, A Future Project, and Mud Hunter from Ariok simultaneously and complete them all before turning in.
Complete Sand, Cider, Orb
After turning in the three quests above, pick up and complete The Sand, the Cider, and the Orb.
Visit the Altar of Storms
Head to the Altar of Storms and pick up both Warlocks Have the Neatest Stuff and Shadow Boxing from Gorzeeki Wildeyes, completing them together.
Return to Ariok
Return to Ariok at Flamestar Post to turn in and complete the Preparation step, which unlocks Chiselgrip, the Heart of the Steppes.
Head to Chiselgrip
Travel to Chiselgrip and pick up A Needle in a Hellhole from Eirtrigg, then get A Perfect Costume from Thelaron Direneedle — the exact combination of materials required varies by your character's race, so search the quest name to find the correct version.
Complete Chiselgrip Chain
Before advancing to General Thor'izog in the main chain, complete Prove Yer Allegiance and Scrapped Golems, which leads into Golem Training.
Tips
Thelaron Direneedle crafts a disguise using hides, mud, and thread — this disguise must be worn to make orc quest givers show available quests; without it they are hostile and no quests will appear.
If you find yourself stuck around 18 of 40 quests while working toward Loremaster, you have likely discarded the disguise; find the tailoring table at Chiselgrip and craft a new costume to restore access to orc quest givers.
