Journeyman Archaeologist
Obtain 150 skill points in archaeology.
Journeyman Archaeologist requires you to reach 150 skill points in Archaeology by surveying and digging up artifacts across the world.
Enable Dig Sites on Map
Open your map and tick the checkbox in the bottom right corner to display spade symbols, which mark active dig sites you can travel to.
Survey and Dig Artifacts
At each dig site, use your Survey skill to locate fragments: a red light means you are far away, yellow means you are fairly close, and green means you are very close. Each site allows up to 4 digs before you must move to a new one, and every site provides exactly 3 lots of artifacts.
Keep Digging Past 50
Archaeology now grants skill points while digging up artifacts even past the 50 skill mark, so continue surveying steadily toward 150 without interruption.
Delay Solving Artifacts Strategically
Continue digging and collecting fragments but hold off on solving artifact pieces until you are close to your current skill cap or have just trained the profession again, since solving grants 5 points per item compared to the 3 fragments gained per dig on starter items.
Tips
Solving completed artifacts grants 5 skill points each, so saving solves until after you retrain can prevent wasted progress near skill thresholds.
