Tough Love
Defeat the trio of Crown Chemical Co. apothecaries in Shadowfang Keep.
Tough Love is a 10-point achievement earned by defeating the trio of Crown Chemical Co. apothecaries — Hummel, Frye, and Baxter — inside Shadowfang Keep during the Love is in the Air event.
Queue During Love is in the Air
This encounter is only available during the Love is in the Air seasonal event. Queue for the Crown Chemical Co. encounter in Shadowfang Keep, located in Silverpine Forest. You can queue from one level below the current expansion's maximum level.
Navigate to the Main Yard
Upon entering, turn right and clear the level 20 mobs, then head up the stairs, across, and down to the cells on the left. Release the mage inside, who will open the door leading to the main yard.
Talk to the Goblin, Get the Kit
Just before the door to the main yard, speak to the goblin standing nearby. Accept and open the package he provides — it contains two neutralising potions and a summons scroll. Apply one of the scents (the purple perfume buff) to yourself before proceeding.
Engage Apothecary Hummel
In the main yard you will find three elite level 82 apothecaries, each with approximately 270, 000 HP. Speak to Apothecary Hummel to start the encounter — he and the other two will turn hostile. Focus Hummel first, crowd control Baxter, and move out of ground effects, as much of their damage is Nature-based. The scent you applied protects you from one puddle type, but the other will deal serious damage.
Tips
The scent you apply before the fight protects you from one of the two puddle types on the ground — choose carefully and move away from the unprotected puddle type immediately when it appears.
