Enter and Nuke the Lich King
Enter Icecrown Citadel and nuke the Lich King immediately. At max level you can solo this fight and kill him before any Vile Spirits spawn at all, earning the achievement without needing to interact with the spirits mechanic — the achievement credits as long as no spirit explodes during the encounter.
Handle Spirits With Ranged DPS
If spirits do spawn, keep melee, tanks, and healers stacked on the Lich King while he is dragged across the room, and have ranged DPS stay behind to handle the Vile Spirits in the air, slowly drifting toward the center — this funnels all spirits to a single point where knockbacks like Typhoon can be used to keep them from reaching players.
Skip Phase 2 by Zerging
An alternative approach is to hold DPS at around 80% during phase 1 to allow Necrotic Plague to stack, then pop all cooldowns and Heroism at 70% health during the first transition phase and push the Lich King directly from 70% to 40% health before phase 2 begins, bypassing Defile and Vile Spirits entirely.
