Defeat the Devourer of Souls in The Forge of Souls on Heroic Difficulty without him successfully casting Phantom Blast.
Three Faced requires defeating the Devourer of Souls in The Forge of Souls on Heroic Difficulty without allowing him to successfully cast Phantom Blast.
Enter The Forge of Souls
Set the dungeon to Heroic Difficulty and enter The Forge of Souls, then proceed to the Devourer of Souls.
Interrupt Phantom Blast
The Devourer of Souls casts Phantom Blast approximately every 6 seconds, with a cast time of roughly 1.5 to 2 seconds. Set up an interrupt rotation between two melee players to cover every cast and prevent any from going through.
Solo Option: Pet Tank
If soloing as a Beast Mastery Hunter, send your pet to tank the Devourer of Souls and attack from maximum range. At that distance the boss will not cast Phantom Blast, making the achievement straightforward. Use Mend Pet to keep your pet alive and dodge the laser beam.
Solo Option: Kite the Boss
If soloing as a class without a pet, such as a Druid, pull the Devourer of Souls out of his room to reset him, then position yourself on the rear staircase. When he respawns, kite him in a circle around his room corner to corner using only instant-cast spells. Phantom Blast has a 15-yard range, so staying outside that range at all times prevents him from successfully casting it. Use any available sprint, leap, or interrupt cooldown if he closes the gap.
