Wielder of Thunderfury, Blessed Blade of the Windseeker.

Thunderfury, Blessed Blade of the Windseeker is a legendary sword, and its associated Feat of Strength requires you to actually equip the sword — not just obtain it.

1

Farm Bindings in Molten Core

Enter Molten Core and defeat Garr and Baron Geddon, who each have a chance to drop one of the two bindings required to craft Thunderfury. Both bindings must be obtained before you can proceed with the weapon.

2

Obtain the Eye of Ragnaros

After clearing Molten Core's other bosses, defeat Ragnaros, who drops the Eye of Ragnaros needed to complete the Thunderfury questline.

3

Complete the Quest and Equip

Complete the Thunderfury quest to receive the sword. To earn the Feat of Strength, you must equip the sword — classes that cannot wield swords, such as Shamans and Druids, will not receive the Feat of Strength upon completion. The guild achievement Thunderfury, Blessed Blade of the Windseeker - Guild Edition is granted upon quest completion and does not require equipping the sword.

Tips

  • Running Molten Core weekly on reset gives you one lockout per week per character, so farming on multiple eligible characters increases how often the bindings can drop.
