Mount Master
Match 20 mounts during Mount Mania.
Mount Master is a 10-point achievement earned by matching 20 mounts during the Mount Mania event, where you copy the mount of an NPC named Abigail on stage.
Stay Close to Stage
Position yourself close to the stage during Mount Mania — being within the general event area is not sufficient, as the stacking Mount Matches debuff that grants achievement credit only applies when you are near the stage itself.
Copy Abigail's Mount
Target Abigail and summon the same mount she is riding using the following macro: /run local i,j,m,s j=C_MountJournal for i=1,40 do s=select(10,AuraUtil.UnpackAuraData(C_UnitAreas.GetBuffDataByIndex("target",i)))if s then m=j.GetMountFromSpell(s)if m then j.SummonByID(m)break end end end — this attempts to mount whatever your target is currently riding, but requires you to already own that mount.
Move After Mounting
After summoning your mount near the stage, nudge your character slightly if credit does not register immediately, as standing still can sometimes prevent the match from counting.
Prioritize Profession Mounts
Engineering mounts appear frequently during this event, and profession mounts in general are used by Abigail, so having Engineering learned on your character increases the number of mounts you can match. Mounts available for purchase in Dornogal for crystals also appear in the rotation, and missing those can cost you points if you do not own them.
Tips
The LiteMount addon (not restricted by game rules) lets you target Abigail and automatically copy her mount if you own it, as an alternative to the manual macro.
Winning the event only rewards a chat announcement with your name — there is no mount or item prize for first place.
