Unexpected Arrivals
Kill 20 players who recently exited an Earthen Mine Cart.
Unexpected Arrivals requires you to kill 20 enemy players within 15 seconds of them exiting one of the blue Earthen Mine Carts located at the top and bottom of the battleground map.
Locate the Blue Carts
At the start of the battleground, head immediately to one of the blue mine carts positioned at the top or bottom of the map — each side of the battleground has one. These are the only carts that trigger the achievement; capturing objective carts does not count toward progress.
Kill Enemies Exiting Carts
When an enemy player rides a blue cart and dismounts, you have 15 seconds to kill them for it to count toward the achievement. Position yourself near the cart exit point so you can burst down exiting enemies before the window expires.
Coordinate With a Friend
The most reliable method is to queue simultaneously with a friend on the opposing faction — one queues Alliance and one queues Horde using the mercenary queue — then coordinate so the friend repeatedly rides the cart and exits near you, allowing you to secure kills within the 15-second window across multiple matches.
Tips
During matches where your team has a clear advantage, rotate to the blue carts to intercept any enemies who use them rather than fighting in the middle.
During matches that appear to be losses, positioning near the blue carts gives you the best opportunity to catch enemies using them, since enemies are more likely to roam freely when winning.
