Defeat Ulgrax the Devourer while keeping the Spider Silk Grub alive in Nerub-ar Palace on Normal difficulty or higher.

Slimy Yet Satisfying requires you to defeat Ulgrax the Devourer in Nerub-ar Palace on Normal difficulty or higher while keeping the Spider Silk Grub alive throughout the entire fight.

1

Locate the Spider Silk Grub

When you enter the Ulgrax the Devourer room, find the Spider Silk Grub on the back right side of the platform near the edge. Do not click it before the pull.

2

Click the Grub on Pull

Immediately after pulling Ulgrax the Devourer, click the Spider Silk Grub to register it for the achievement — clicking it before the pull will cause it to die and fail the attempt.

3

Pull Boss Away from Grub

On the initial pull, drag Ulgrax the Devourer away from the Spider Silk Grub's location, as the Grub is instantly killed by any boss mechanic or by being too close to Ulgrax.

4

Assign a Grub Babysitter

Assign one player to herd the Spider Silk Grub away from danger throughout Phase 1 by walking up behind it — the Grub cannot be healed and moves around on its own unpredictably, so manual herding is required.

5

Burst Down to Skip Intermission

Use maximum DPS to push Ulgrax the Devourer through the intermission phase as quickly as possible, since the intermission is the hardest phase to keep the Spider Silk Grub alive through.

Tips

  • If the achievement tracker turns red on pull, that is expected behavior — click the Grub quickly after the pull and the tracker will turn white confirming it is active.

  • If the tracker turns red again before Ulgrax the Devourer dies, the Spider Silk Grub has been destroyed and the attempt has failed.

  • See video guide for a visual walkthrough of the Grub's location and herding technique.
