Defeat Zekvir in his lair before the release of the next season of delves.
My First Nemesis requires you to defeat Zekvir in his lair before the next season of delves ends, rewarding Zekvir's Raptorial Spine.
Unlock Zekvir's Lair
To access Zekvir's Lair, you must first complete any delve on Tier 8. Zekvir's Lair is the hidden 13th Delve located in the western-most section of the City of Threads in Azj'Kahet at 33, 76.
Set Brann to Healer
Set Brann to Healer spec before entering. Multiple successful clears confirm Healer Brann is required to sustain you through the fight, as his healing output offsets Zekvir's melee damage and debuffs.
Position Behind Zekvir
Stay 5 to 10 yards directly behind Zekvir throughout the fight. This position lets you avoid his frontal cone attacks and increases the chance that Brann's healing abilities land on you.
Cleanse the DoT Debuff
Zekvir applies a DoT that also counts as a movement impairing effect. Use class-specific movement or cleanse abilities to remove it — for example, Disengage on Hunter, Ice Barrier on Frost Mage, or Fade on Shadow Priest.
Prioritize Egg Destruction
Save burst cooldowns specifically for when eggs appear during the fight. Preventing eggs from hatching is more important than dealing sustained damage to Zekvir himself.
Tips
Run Zekvir's Lair solo rather than in a group, as group scaling increases incoming damage significantly.
Zekvir's Lair received significant balance changes in the hotfixes on September 26th, making the encounter easier than its original tuning.
