City Defender
Kill 50 enemy players in any of your home cities.
City Defender requires you to kill 50 enemy players while you yourself are inside one of your faction's home cities.
Understand What Counts
You must deal damage to the enemy player and be inside a home city yourself to earn credit. You do not need the killing blow and you do not need an Honorable Kill — enemy players of any level count toward the 50.
Farm Kills During World Events
During Midsummer Fire Festival, guard your capital city's flame, as enemy players will come to steal it. The Exodar is particularly effective since enemy players cannot fly in or out, making escapes harder.
Farm Kills During Pilgrim's Bounty
Alliance players can camp the Horde players who visit the Darnassus Pilgrim's Bounty tables, as those players are PvP-flagged and the tables are deep inside the city, giving you time to kill them before they reach a subzone boundary.
Use the Stormwind Boat Method
Alliance players can stand on the Stormwind–Borean Tundra boat with a Horde partner. Kill the Horde player each time the boat enters Stormwind Harbor for credit, as the boat's auto-resurrection on zone means your partner avoids the spirit walk penalty. This method has been reported to grant 2 kill credits per kill.
Use a Party for Passive Credit
If you are in a party or raid and a group member gets the kill, you earn credit even if you dealt no damage to that target.
Tips
Kills earned while inside the city count even if the enemy player's body is technically outside the city boundary, as long as you are inside when the kill registers.
Being Horde does not prevent earning this achievement inside your own faction's cities — standing in a home city such as Ironforge as Horde still counts if you earn valid kills there.
