Defeat General Vezax after defeating the Saronite Animus in 25-player mode.
I Love the Smell of Saronite in the Morning (25 player) is an achievement earned by defeating General Vezax after first allowing the Saronite Animus to form and then killing it, in 25-player mode.
Clear the Room
Enter the General Vezax encounter room and defeat all adds before pulling the boss.
Pull General Vezax
Engage General Vezax but do not interrupt his Searing Flames spell cast at any point. When left uninterrupted, Vezax will stand in place and cast it indefinitely without auto attacking, dealing minimal damage to well-geared characters.
Let Six Crystals Spawn
Vezax spawns a total of 6 Saronite Crystals over time. Do not destroy any of them — when all 6 are alive simultaneously, they will merge to form the Saronite Animus. Destroying even the first 2 crystals early will prevent the merge from happening, and no additional crystals will spawn afterward.
Kill the Saronite Animus
Once the Saronite Animus has formed, defeat it. While it is alive, Vezax gains the Void Barrier immunity buff and stops casting Searing Flames, and the Animus applies the stacking Profound Darkness debuff to the raid, so kill it quickly.
Defeat General Vezax
After the Saronite Animus is dead, kill General Vezax to complete the achievement. Be aware that Vezax has a 10-minute berserk timer, so the entire sequence must be completed before it expires.
Tips
Healers should use Mighty Shadow Protection Potions and healthstones to survive the increased damage pressure during the Saronite Animus phase.
Casters must rely on the Shadow Crash buff for mana due to the Aura of Despair preventing normal mana regeneration throughout the fight; Fel Mana Potions and Dark Runes are also functional in this encounter.
