Defeat Emalon the Storm Watcher in 25 player mode.

Emalon the Storm Watcher (25 player) is a 10-point achievement earned by defeating Emalon the Storm Watcher in 25-player mode, obtainable solo at max level.

1

Set Up Tank Positioning

Enter the raid and position one tank on Emalon in the far left corner, and a second tank holding all four Tempest Minion adds in the far right corner to keep them separated from the boss.

2

Spread Out for Chain Lightning

Spread the raid out during the fight to minimize damage from Emalon's Chain Lightning ability.

3

Dodge Lightning Nova

When Emalon begins casting Lightning Nova, immediately run away from him — the ability has a 5-second cast time and damage is reduced by distance, so moving far away is essential to survive it.

4

Burst Down Overcharged Add

When Emalon casts Overcharge on a Tempest Minion, the add is healed to full and gains a stacking buff that increases its damage by 20% every 2 seconds, exploding after 10 stacks (roughly 20-25 seconds) for lethal AoE damage — all DPS must immediately switch to that single add and kill it before it reaches 10 stacks, then return to the boss.

5

Maintain Sufficient DPS

Each Tempest Minion has approximately 720, 000 HP and is healed to full on Overcharge, so every DPS player needs to sustain at least 2,600 DPS on demand to burn the add down in time across the multiple Overcharge events throughout the fight.

Tips

  • Melee DPS will naturally lose some uptime running out of Lightning Nova and moving to overcharged adds, so expect their effective damage to be lower than a target dummy scenario — account for this when evaluating raid readiness.

  • Emalon has a reported enrage timer of either 6 or 10 minutes, so while the fight is not strictly a race, sustained DPS on the boss between Overcharge events is still important.
