Emalon the Storm Watcher (10 player)
Defeat Emalon the Storm Watcher in 10 player mode.
Emalon the Storm Watcher (10 player) is a 10-point achievement earned by defeating Emalon the Storm Watcher in 10-player mode.
Set Up Tank Positioning
Enter the raid and have one tank pull Emalon to the far left corner, while the second tank pulls all four Tempest Minion adds to the far right corner to keep them separated.
Spread Out For Lightning Nova
Ranged DPS and healers spread out along the sides of the hallway, as Lightning Nova has a 5-second cast time and deals less damage the farther you are from Emalon — standing close will likely kill you.
Burst The Overcharged Add
When Emalon casts Overcharge on one of the Tempest Minions, that add is healed to full health and begins stacking a buff that increases its damage by 20% every 2 seconds, exploding after 24 seconds — all DPS must immediately switch to that add and kill it before it explodes. Enable NPC health bars by pressing V so the overcharged add is easy to spot when its health bar jumps to full.
Defeat Emalon To Complete
After managing the Overcharge mechanic throughout the fight, burn down Emalon — be aware he has a reported enrage timer of either 6 or 10 minutes, so maintain steady DPS on the boss between add switches.
Tips
Use a timer macro triggered at the start of the pull to alert melee DPS 5 seconds before each Overcharge occurs, giving them time to move to the add before it explodes.
The overcharged Tempest Minion is visually larger than the others, making it easier to identify quickly for DPS switching.
