Defeat Thorim while under the effect of Aura of Celerity in 25-player mode.

Who Needs Bloodlust? (25 player) requires you to defeat Thorim while your party is under the Aura of Celerity buff, obtained by Mind Controlling a Dark Rune Warbringer during the encounter in Ulduar.

1

Clear the Arena

Enter Ulduar and pull Thorim's encounter by killing the jormungar and other mobs in the arena, then open the gate and wait for the Dark Rune Warbringer to spawn.

2

Lead Warbringer Through Tunnel

Once the Dark Rune Warbringer spawns, pull him into the tunnel and kill the accompanying mobs such as commoners and evokers while keeping the Warbringer alive and following you as you fight through to Thorim.

3

Reach Thorim, Clear Adds

After reaching Thorim, optionally wait for Sif to leave to simplify the fight, then jump down into the arena and AoE down the large number of adds that have accumulated.

4

Bring Thorim to 20% HP

Damage Thorim to approximately 20% HP, then wait for the Dark Rune Warbringer to return through the tunnel back to your location.

5

Mind Control the Warbringer

Use Mind Amplification Dish or an Outlaw Rogue's bribe ability to Mind Control the Dark Rune Warbringer; a successful Mind Control causes the Warbringer to share Aura of Celerity with your party, increasing melee, ranged, and casting speed by 20%. Outlaw Rogues can maintain this control for up to 5 minutes.

6

Kill Thorim Under the Aura

With Aura of Celerity active on your party, finish Thorim — you only need to be under the aura's effect at the moment Thorim dies. The Warbringer can be polymorphed after Mind Control and the aura will remain active, so stay within range of the Warbringer but spread away from others to avoid Chain Lightning.

Tips

  • The Warbringer can be Mind Controlled from the moment it spawns and held under control until Thorim dies, or it can be offtanked and only Mind Controlled right before the kill.

  • You only need to be within range of the Mind Controlled Warbringer when Thorim dies; using the speed increase throughout the rest of the fight is optional.
