Enter and Engage XT-002
Enter Ulduar and position XT-002 Deconstructor between the scrap piles on either the left or right wall rather than on the stairs. Only the far-end scrap piles will spawn adds, making them easier to manage.
DPS the Heart Aggressively
During every heart phase, continue dealing damage to the heart and get it as low as possible — ideally around 5%. Never stop DPSing the heart during these phases, as doing so will cause the attempt to fail.
Chain All Three Heart Phases
The kill requires chaining three heart phases tightly: the first heart phase should trigger around 1:20, resuming at roughly 1:55 with XT-002 at 45%; the second heart phase at 2:00, resuming at 2:35 at around 20%; and the third heart phase at 2:40, resuming at 3:15 with XT-002 below 5%, finishing the kill by 3:25.
Control Adds Efficiently
An Elemental Shaman can significantly help control the adds that spawn during heart phases using Earthbind and Thunderstorm, which is important because add management becomes harder on the second and third heart phases.
Tips
The overall DPS required is roughly double what would be needed to kill XT-002 just before his enrage timer, so bringing strong DPS is critical.
Gravity bombs and light bombs are active throughout the fight alongside adds, so assign players to handle them without pulling the raid's main DPS away from XT-002 or the heart.
