Pest Control
Slay the following pests.
Pest Control is a 10-point achievement that requires you to slay a specific list of critter pests found across multiple zones and dungeons.
Kill Underbelly Rat in Dalaran
Before leaving Dalaran, head into the Underbelly sewers and kill an Underbelly Rat.
Kill pests in Howling Fjord
Fly to Howling Fjord and kill the Devouring Maggot inside the Utgarde Catacombs, then kill the Fjord Rat, Roach, and Spider found throughout the zone.
Kill Zul'Drak Rat in Zul'Drak
Travel to Zul'Drak and kill the Zul'Drak Rat, which can be found around the Amphitheater area.
Kill Gold Beetle in Northrend dungeons
Enter Halls of Lightning or Halls of Stone and kill the Gold Beetle, which can be found just behind the entrance of Halls of Lightning.
Kill Crystal Spider in Nexus or Oculus
Enter The Nexus or The Oculus and kill a Crystal Spider inside.
Kill Roach in Arachnid dungeons
If you have not yet killed a Roach, enter Ahn'kahet: The Old Kingdom, Azjol-Nerub, or The Culling of Stratholme, all of which contain Roaches.
Kill Rat in available zones
Kill a Rat, which can be found in Nagrand, Ghostlands, Stranglethorn Vale near Booty Bay, Drak'Tharon Keep, or The Culling of Stratholme.
Kill Larva and Maggot in Ghostlands or Naxxramas
Kill a Larva and a Maggot, both found in Ghostlands or inside Naxxramas. The Maggot can also be found in The Underbog.
Kill Adder in Outland
Kill an Adder in Hellfire Peninsula or Nagrand in Outland, as these are among the easiest locations to find one.
Kill Fire Beetle in Outland
Kill a Fire Beetle in Searing Gorge, Burning Steppes, or inside The Shattered Halls in Outland.
Kill Scorpion in Outland or classic raids
Kill a Scorpion in Hellfire Peninsula, or enter AQ20 or AQ40 and kill one there.
Kill Snake in available zones
Kill a Snake in Zangarmarsh, Ghostlands, or Westfall.
Kill Moccasin in Swamp of Sorrows
Travel to Swamp of Sorrows and kill a Moccasin.
Kill Mouse in Westfall
Travel to Westfall and kill a Mouse to complete this remaining pest.
Tips
Use a macro with /tar lines for each pest name — Adder, Devouring Maggot, Fjord Rat, Larva, Moccasin, Rat, Scorpion, Spider, Zul'Drak Rat, Crystal Spider, Fire Beetle, Gold Beetle, Maggot, Mouse, Roach, Snake, and Underbelly Rat — to quickly target critters as you move through each zone.
