Wintergrasp Ranger
Kill 10 players in each of the Wintergrasp areas listed below.
Wintergrasp Ranger requires you to kill 10 players in each of the following Wintergrasp areas: Wintergrasp Fortress, The Chilled Quagmire, The Broken Temple, The Sunken Ring, Glacial Falls, Shadowsight Tower, Westspark Workshop, Winter's Edge Tower, Eastspark Workshop, Flamewatch Tower, and The Cauldron of Flames.
Track per-area progress
Run this macro in-game to see your current kill count for each area: /run for i = 1, 10 do d,_,_,q,_,_,_,_,_,_ = GetAchievementCriteriaInfo(2199, i); print(d, q); end. Alternatively, install Overachiever, open a whisper to yourself, shift-click Wintergrasp Ranger in your Achievements pane, and click the link in chat to see x/10 for every incomplete zone.
Navigate between spirit ressers
While dead or alive, talk to a spirit resurrecter inside Wintergrasp and they can teleport you to other spirit ressers within the zone, making it faster to reach areas where you still need kills.
Find enemies in southern towers
Players pursuing tower and workshop achievements will frequent Shadowsight Tower, Westspark Workshop, Winter's Edge Tower, Eastspark Workshop, and Flamewatch Tower, making those areas reliable spots to find enemy players to kill.
Farm kills near elementals
Players farming Wrath essences from elementals — especially the side that has won the battle and can access high-droprate revenants — tend to cluster in the open field areas, providing opportunities for kills toward zones like The Cauldron of Flames and Glacial Falls.
Use post-battle dailies as signals
After a Wintergrasp battle concludes, both factions receive a daily quest directing them to fight the opposing faction in a specific zone, making that zone a reliable location to find enemy players for your kill requirements.
Create low-level alts if needed
If no enemy-faction players are available, create a level 1 character on the opposing faction, run to Dalaran via a mage portal, jump from the Dalaran sewers into Crystalsong Forest to die, then fly into Wintergrasp while dead and resurrect at a spirit resser — there is no level requirement for kills to count toward this achievement.
Tips
Off-peak hours such as overnight or early morning are when essence farmers who avoid PvP tend to be active in the outdoor zones, making them easier targets for isolated kills in areas you still need.
