Defeat Zuramat the Obliterator in The Violet Hold on Heroic Difficulty without killing any void sentries.

A Void Dance requires defeating Zuramat the Obliterator in The Violet Hold on Heroic difficulty without killing any void sentries during the encounter.

1

Enter The Violet Hold

Enter The Violet Hold on Heroic difficulty and wait for Zuramat the Obliterator to be one of the bosses that spawns, as his appearance is random.

2

Ignore All Void Sentries

When Zuramat the Obliterator is active, do not attack or kill any void sentries — focus all damage entirely on Zuramat himself and burn him down as fast as possible, as the sentries deal significant shadow damage the longer the fight lasts.

3

Burst Zuramat Immediately

Begin dealing damage to Zuramat the moment he aggros, without waiting for the tank to build threat, and have any available dispels or purges ready to remove his Shroud of Darkness to ease healing pressure during the burn.

4

Use Death Knight Cooldown

If a Death Knight is present, placing Anti-Magic Zone near Zuramat and having the group stand inside it significantly reduces the shadow damage the void sentries deal while the boss is being burned down.

Tips

  • If farming this as part of a proto-drake achievement set, prioritize it early rather than last, as Zuramat the Obliterator's appearance in The Violet Hold is determined by RNG and may require many Heroic runs before he appears.
