Consumption Junction
Defeat Trollgore in Drak'Tharon Keep on Heroic Difficulty before Consume reaches ten stacks.
Consumption Junction requires defeating Trollgore in Drak'Tharon Keep on Heroic difficulty before his Consume buff reaches ten stacks.
Understand Consume Mechanics
Trollgore's Consume buff gains one stack for every player or NPC within his line of sight, including troll adds that spawn at the top of the stairs roughly every 30 seconds. Pets do not count toward Consume stacks.
Position Trollgore in a Pocket
Tank Trollgore in the small pocket between the left pillar and the staircase wall, keeping him out of line of sight of everyone except the tank. The healer should stand roughly in the middle of the room, in line of sight of the tank but not of the boss.
Assign Add Control on Stairs
At least one ranged DPS should stay on the stairs and kill troll adds before they reach Trollgore, as each add in his line of sight adds a Consume stack. Depending on the group, two players on adds may be needed.
Rotate Melee DPS In and Out
Melee DPS should run in to damage Trollgore for approximately 10 seconds, then retreat around the corner onto the stairs before Consume is cast. Each time Consume is cast, the tank can signal the 10-second safe window so melee know when to re-engage and when to fall back.
Tips
Trollgore resets if pulled out of his room, so the fight is easy to retry quickly if stacks get too high.
If your group can sustain roughly 15,000 or more combined DPS, Trollgore can die after only one Consume cast, making positioning largely irrelevant.
