What a Long, Strange Trip It's Been
Complete the world events achievements listed below.
"What a Long, Strange Trip It's Been" is a meta-achievement requiring you to complete seven seasonal world event achievements across a full calendar year, rewarding the
Reins of the Violet Proto-Drake upon completion.
Understand the Year-Long Requirement
This achievement spans a full calendar year minimum, as the seven required world events are spread across different months and cannot all be completed within a single month. No shortcut exists to compress the timeline.
Complete Lunar Festival (To Honor One's Elders)
Available February 5th through February 23rd, this event requires you to be Level 80 due to the heroic Gun'drak elder, and you must have access to Dalaran and several 5-man dungeons ranging from old Azeroth to Northrend.
Complete Love is in the Air (Fool For Love)
Available February 11th through February 16th, this event requires access to Naxxramas for the "I Pitied the Fool" sub-achievement, as well as the ability to perform in battlegrounds and PvP.
Complete Children's Week (For The Children)
Available May 1st through May 8th, this event requires the ability to perform well in battlegrounds and PvP content across multiple objectives.
Complete Midsummer Fire Festival (The Flame Warden)
Available June 21st through July 5th, this event requires extensive travel and access to Dalaran, with many objectives spread across multiple zones.
Complete Brewfest (Brewmaster)
Available September 20th through October 4th, this event requires access to Dalaran and involves activities tied to the festival grounds.
Complete Hallow's End (Hallowed Be Thy Name)
Available October 18th through October 31st, this event requires PvP participation and access to several dungeons and zones, including Northrend content.
Complete Winter Veil (Merrymaker)
Available December 15th through January 2nd, this event requires 325 Cooking skill for The Winterveil Gourmet sub-achievement, access to Dalaran, and the ability to perform in battlegrounds and PvP.
Meet All Prerequisites Before Events Begin
Before the year's events begin, ensure you are Level 80, have access to Dalaran, have access to Naxxramas, have 325 Cooking skill, and are prepared to participate in battlegrounds and PvP, as several events have strict deadlines with no ability to return until the following year.
Tips
See the video guide for a full walkthrough of the sub-achievements across all seven events.
Love is in the Air (February 11th–16th) overlaps with the tail end of Lunar Festival (ending February 23rd), so both can be worked on in the same calendar window.
Missing any single event's achievements delays completion by a full year, as each event occurs only once annually.
