Oh Novos!
Defeat Novos the Summoner in Drak'Tharon Keep on Heroic Difficulty without allowing any undead minions to reach the floor.
Oh Novos! is a 10-point Heroic difficulty achievement earned by defeating Novos the Summoner in Drak'Tharon Keep without letting any undead minions reach the floor.
Enter Drak'Tharon Keep
Set the dungeon to Heroic difficulty and make your way to Novos the Summoner. The fight has two phases: a shield phase where Crystal Handlers and undead adds spawn, and a direct combat phase once his shield breaks.
Stand at Top of Stairs
Position yourself at the very top of the stairs leading down to Novos. Both the undead adds (which run toward the boss) and the Crystal Handlers (which run toward you) must be intercepted here — standing too low on the stairs allows Crystal Handlers to pass near Novos and fail the achievement.
Kill All Spawning Adds
Defeat all four Crystal Handlers and any undead adds as they spawn during the shield phase. Once the achievement tracker text turns white instead of red after the fourth Crystal Handler dies, the shield phase is complete and no more adds will spawn.
Defeat Novos Directly
Engage Novos once his shield breaks — no additional adds spawn during this phase, so focus entirely on the boss. Be aware that he applies a shadow damage over time effect early in the fight.
Tips
Track the achievement during the fight — once the text turns white after the shield phase ends, the achievement is secured and you only need to finish off Novos.
