Obtain gold in all races in Outland.

Outland Racing Completionist: Gold requires earning a gold medal in every dragon racing course across Outland, rewarding the Outland Racer title and the Ruby Riders of Azeroth Tabard upon completion.

1

Accept the Circuit Quest

Before starting any races, pick up the quest The Outland Cup Circuit first — skipping this is a common mistake that can cost you progress tracking across all Outland races.

2

Locate Race Start Points

Race starting positions are spread across Outland at the following locations: at 75.6, 44.2 and at 36.9, 37.2 in Hellfire Peninsula; at 51.0, 40.1 and at 61.8, 48.5 in Zangarmarsh; at 61.1, 27.7 in Terokkar Forest; at 58.3, 76.0 and at 29.5, 25.1 in Nagrand; at 42.3, 68.0, at 67.2, 65.9, and at 59.8, 4.9 in Blade's Edge Mountains; at 51.2, 41.9 and at 68.9, 47.8 in Netherstorm; and at 71.3, 70.8 in Shadowmoon Valley.

3

Complete Standard and Advanced Races

Work through each Normal and Advanced race across all Outland zones. The Advanced races are generally manageable, with the 3D vertical layout of Outland zones being used to good effect throughout most courses.

4

Tackle the Reverse Races

Reverse races are significantly harder than Advanced races and are considered less thoughtfully designed overall — expect repeated attempts, particularly on courses in Auchindoun and Tempest Keep, where gold timing is heavily dependent on landing Skyward Ascent consistently across multiple attempts.

5

Handle Razorthorn Rise Separately

Razorthorn Rise Rush is the most problematic race in the set — the dense thorn branches make navigation punishing, and players on higher-latency connections (200–300 ms) may experience Dragonriding input lag when crossing zone boundaries, causing Skyward Ascent to misfire or delay by up to three seconds, which can randomly ruin an otherwise clean run.

6

Manage Shattrath City Course

The Shattrath race is moderately difficult and warrants extra practice runs before attempting gold, though it is not as problematic as the Razorthorn Rise course.

Tips

  • Take the quest The Outland Cup Circuit before doing any races — this is the single most important step to avoid having to redo completed races.

  • If you are on a high-latency connection, attempt Razorthorn Rise Rush during lower server load periods to reduce the chance of Dragonriding input lag causing a failed Skyward Ascent at zone transition points.
