Generations of Gemstones II requires you to craft 500 times using the Jewelcrafting profession.
Craft Reflecting Prisms cheaply
Purchase
Sorcerous Fire on the Auction House and craft
Reflecting Prisms — each craft counts toward the 500 total, and the prisms can be sold back for a small profit, though they do not stack and take time to craft individually.
Use cheap stone statues
Crafting stone statues is another cost-effective option: the Dense Stone Statue requires 10 Dense Stone, the Solid Stone Statue requires 10 Solid Stone, the Rough Stone Statue requires 8 Rough Stone, and the Porous Stone Statue requires only 5 Porous Stone — check the Auction House for whichever stone is cheapest.
Craft cheap cut gems
The following cut gems also count toward the 500 crafts and are among the cheaper options depending on current Auction House prices:
Tiger Opal,
Roguestone,
Pandarian Garnet,
Sunstone, Thorium Setting, Straddling Viridium, Deadly Solstone, Masterful Kubiline, Natant Rubellite, Quick Golden Beryl, Versatile Kyanite, Deadly Deep Amber, and Quick Azsunite.
Tips
This achievement is part of a series: Generations of Gemstones I requires 100 crafts, Generations of Gemstones III requires 1000, and Generations of Gemstones IV requires 2000 — progress carries over between ranks.
