A Test of Scale IV
Craft 2000 times with the Leatherworking profession.
A Test of Scale IV is a Leatherworking achievement earned by crafting a total of 2,000 items with the Leatherworking profession, awarded 10 points upon completion.
Understand Achievement Progression
This achievement is the final rank in a series: A Test of Scale I requires 100 crafts, A Test of Scale II requires 500, A Test of Scale III requires 1,000, and A Test of Scale IV requires 2,000 total crafts. All ranks are completed as you accumulate crafts toward 2,000.
Choose a Cheap Craft
Several low-material recipes count toward the 2,000 crafts: 
Callous Hide (10 per craft) to make Heavy Callous Hide is a commonly used method — purchasing 20,000 Callous Hide yields exactly 2,000 crafts. Alternatively, 
Mist-Touched Leather can be crafted into Sha Armor Kits (4 Exotic Leather each), or 
Light Leather can be used to craft Light Armor Kits (1 Light Leather each). Check the Auction House for whichever material is cheapest, as prices fluctuate and market availability varies.
Use Stockpiled Leather
If you have large quantities of leather from previous expansions, those can be crafted into appropriate expansion-era Leatherworking items to count toward the 2,000 total, avoiding any Auction House purchases entirely.
Begin Mass Crafting
Once you have your materials, open the Leatherworking crafting window and queue up your chosen recipe for the full 2,000 crafts; at zero progress, the full 2,000 crafts take approximately 54 minutes to complete.
Tips
When this achievement series launched, large quantities of materials were bought off the Auction House rapidly, causing price spikes — be cautious using the Auction House autobuy feature, as it can purchase stacks at inflated prices.
BFA Leatherworking crafts sent to alts can be scrapped for
Expulsom, giving those crafts additional value beyond the achievement progress.
