A Test of Scale I
Craft 100 times with the Leatherworking profession.
A Test of Scale I is a Leatherworking achievement earned by crafting 100 times with the Leatherworking profession, and is the first of four ranked milestones capping at 2, 000 total crafts.
Choose a Cheap Craft
Select a low-cost Leatherworking recipe to repeat. The cheapest options include:
Light Armor Kit (1 Light Leather each),
Sha Armor Kit (4 Exotic Leather each), Heavy Callous Hide (10
Callous Hide each), Cured Rugged Hide (1 Rugged Hide + 1 Deeprock Salt each), and Hardened Tempest Hide (1 Tempest Hide + 1 Amber Tanning Oil each). Check the Auction House for current pricing before committing to a craft, as material availability and cost fluctuate.
Use Ruined Leather Scraps
If you have
Ruined Leather Scraps, use the Leatherworking Pattern (Light Leather) to convert them into Light Leather — this counts toward the achievement and all subsequent ranks, rather than using the Skinner's ability which does not.
Craft Until 100
Repeat your chosen craft until you reach 100 total crafts; progress carries forward into A Test of Scale II (500), A Test of Scale III (1,000), and A Test of Scale IV (2,000), so every craft counts toward all ranks.
Tips
When buying materials in bulk from the Auction House, the interface can auto-purchase at unexpectedly high prices, so review the total cost before confirming large purchases.
Material markets become unstable when new craft-count achievements release, as many players buy up resources simultaneously — purchasing materials before or after the initial rush reduces cost.
