Craft 100 times with the Jewelcrafting profession.
Generations of Gemstones I is a Jewelcrafting achievement that requires you to craft 100 times using the Jewelcrafting profession, worth 10 points, and is the first in a series of four ranks (100, 500, 1000, and 2000 crafts).
Choose a cheap craft
Open the Auction House, navigate to Trade Goods then Jewelcrafting, and sort by price ascending to find affordable materials. Stone statues are among the cheaper options: Dense Stone Statue requires 10 Dense Stone, Rough Stone Statue requires 8 Rough Stone, Solid Stone Statue requires 10 Solid Stone, and Porous Stone Statue requires only 5 Porous Stone.
Consider gem cutting
Basic gem cuts require exactly one material to produce one gem, making them straightforward to repeat; affordable options include 
Tiger Opal, 
Roguestone, 
Pandarian Garnet, and 
Sunstone cuts, as well as Thorium Setting, Straddling Viridium, Deadly Solstone, Masterful Kubiline, Natant Rubellite, Quick Golden Beryl, Versatile Kyanite, Deadly Deep Amber, and Quick Azsunite.

Sorcerous Fire is another low-cost option available on the Auction House; note that Reflecting Prisms do not stack in your bags and each craft takes a moment to complete, so factor that in when crafting large quantities toward the 100-craft goal.
