Elusive Legends of the Dragon Isles

You must have 40 knowledge spent in Mastery to spawn the rare versions of elusive creatures. With fewer than 40 points, only lesser non-rare versions will appear, which do not count toward this achievement.

Use Elusive Creature Bait at specific spawn locations across every Dragonflight zone (except Emerald Dream) to summon the elusive rares. The bait has a 12-hour cooldown that reduces each time you skin a mob, so active skinning between pulls significantly speeds up the process.

Ohn'ahran Plains is the best zone for reducing your bait cooldown through skinning. The Blazing Proto-Dragon at 78.67, 27.17 in Ohn'ahran Plains offers near-instant respawn, NPC helpers, and an elite bonus — and with 40/40 Bait Crafter, elites and rares grant double cooldown reduction.

Many of the elusive rares are not soloable due to high HP and instant-kill mechanics, so grouping with other skinners allows you to share bait cooldowns and kill rares faster. If you are undergeared and cannot kill a rare before it despawns 5 minutes after summoning, enter combat just before the 5-minute mark — you will receive kill credit when it despawns while you are in combat with it.

While waiting on bait cooldowns, kill and skin Violet Pineback and Pineback Pups in the cave at 24.00, 58.06 in Ohn'ahran Plains. These mobs respawn instantly and are the fastest available option for reducing your bait cooldown between rare summons.
