Population In-Crease
Release origami creatures into their unnatural habitats.
Population In-Crease is a 5-point achievement that requires you to craft and release specific origami creatures into their designated zones across the world.
Gather Crafting Materials
You need 52
Light Parchment and 64
Ink of Dreams in total to craft all required origami items. Both materials are available on the Auction House if you are not an Inscriptionist.
Craft All Origami Items
Craft the following quantities: 8
Origami Crane, 8
Origami Frog, 8
Origami Rock, 2
Origami Beetle, and 2
Origami Slime. If you want to work toward the Ink and Quill IV achievement simultaneously, craft 1,500 Origami Beetle or Origami Slime instead of the minimum — avoid mass-crafting Origami Rock as it has no sell price and will clutter your bags.
Release Items in Each Zone
Travel to each required zone and release the corresponding origami creatures — you do not need to be at a specific location within the zone for the release to count, so releasing them at a flight point or portal landing spot works fine. Note that Zandalar requires at least level 60 and access to the Dragon Isles, so having a mage available for portals will reduce travel time significantly.
Tips
You do not need to be an Inscriptionist to complete this achievement — all required materials and finished origami items can be purchased from the Auction House.
Releasing origami anywhere within the correct zone counts; for example, releasing cranes inside Boralus counts toward Tirigarde Sound.
