A Slime in Need
Defeat Blight of Galakrond after allowing a lost slime to hop on your back and then getting hit by Blight Reclamation in Dawn of the Infinite on Mythic difficulty.
A Slime in Need requires you to let a Lost Slime ride on your back and then get hit by Blight Reclamation while fighting Blight of Galakrond in Dawn of the Infinite on Mythic difficulty.
Set Mythic Difficulty
Enter Dawn of the Infinite on Mythic difficulty before attempting this achievement.
Locate the Lost Slime
When you enter the Blight of Galakrond boss room, turn right and head along the ice wall where you will see the Lost Slime on the cliff above. Walk up to the edge of the wall and a debuff will appear showing you are coaxing the Lost Slime toward you; when it expires, the slime moves to the edge and can be clicked to ride on your back.
Pull Blight of Galakrond
After the Lost Slime is on your back, pull Blight of Galakrond and deal damage slowly during the first phase (100–75%) to avoid skipping it too quickly, as the slime must be on your back when Blight Reclamation hits you.
Stand in Blight Reclamation
During the first phase, stand in the green frontal cone called Blight Reclamation; with the Lost Slime on your back, the slime will jump off and reunite with the boss, applying a debuff to Blight of Galakrond that confirms the criteria is met.
Defeat Blight of Galakrond
Once the reunion debuff appears on the boss and your achievement tracker confirms the criteria is complete, deal damage through the remaining phases — each subsequent phase can be completed in roughly 20–30 seconds with Season 2 gear or equivalent.
Tips
Deliberately slow your damage output during the first phase so you do not push Blight of Galakrond past 75% before the Lost Slime reunites with the boss.
If the boss depopulates before you finish all phases, you likely need higher item level gear — the later phases must be completed before the encounter resets.
