Defeat Anub'arak in Azjol-Nerub on Heroic Difficulty in 4 minutes or less.

Gotta Go! requires defeating Anub'arak in Azjol-Nerub on Heroic difficulty within 4 minutes.

1

Prepare Your Group Composition

Run Azjol-Nerub on Heroic with a group built for burst damage. A tested composition is an Unholy Death Knight tank in Frost Presence, two Mages, a Destruction Warlock, and an Elemental Shaman who heals during the Anub'arak phase and deals damage during the adds phase. Flask the entire group before attempting the timer.

2

Pre-Load Burst Before Engaging

After clearing all trash and reaching Anub'arak, have both Mages travel to Storm Peaks to Spellsteal the damage buff from mobs there, then get summoned back into the instance with the 2-minute buff active. On a countdown, have every DPS load their biggest nuke before the pull so the damage lands the moment the tank taunts, dropping Anub'arak to roughly 80–85% health instantly.

3

Use Hunter to Reset If Needed

If the attempt goes poorly due to unlucky cast timing, a Hunter can reset the fight by standing on top of the ground spikes as they appear and using Disengage to escape the webbed area while airborne, then using Distracting Shot to kite Anub'arak up the stairs to fully reset the encounter.

4

Use Hunter Pull to Skip Early Casts

To prevent Anub'arak from casting during the opening seconds, have the Hunter pull the boss from outside the arena. When Anub'arak walks toward the Hunter from that position, he does not cast, giving the group additional uninterrupted damage time at the start of the fight.

Tips

  • The Metanoia method using two Mages inside the instance no longer functions because Metanoia is removed upon entering the dungeon; the Spellsteal buff must be obtained in Storm Peaks and brought in via summon.
