Old Ironjaw is a rare fish that must be caught through fishing in Ironforge to earn this 10-point achievement.

Fish in Ironforge

Head to the Forlorn Cavern in Ironforge at 50.65, 14.68 and cast your line repeatedly until you fish up Old Ironjaw.

Loot Old Ironjaw Carefully

When Old Ironjaw appears in your loot window, make sure to click through the bind-on-pickup confirmation dialog before recasting — if you recast too quickly with auto-loot enabled, the fish will be released back into the water and you will need to catch it again.

Tips

  • Old Ironjaw is Bind on Pickup, so do not use auto-loot so fast that you skip the confirmation dialog — a patch removed the automatic binding warning, meaning you will not be reminded to confirm before it disappears.

  • Old Ironjaw is not required for the Accomplished Angler achievement, so it is not needed to earn the Salty title.
