Fish up Old Crafty in Orgrimmar.

Old Crafty is a rare fish caught by fishing in the waters of Orgrimmar, available to both Alliance and Horde players.

Travel to Orgrimmar

Alliance players will need to enter Orgrimmar as enemy faction, which involves repeated deaths and corpse runs to reach the fishing spots. The Valley of Spirits is one of the noted areas inside Orgrimmar where you can fish.

Fish the Valley of Spirits

Cast your line in the Valley of Spirits at 25.5, 70 in Orgrimmar. This is a primary location for fishing up Old Crafty.

Fish Near the Waterfall

An additional productive spot is at 61.5, 39.5, right inside the waterfall. Equipping Nat's Hat, the Underlight Angler, a Trawler Totem, and a Sharpened Tuskarr Spear can be used here to maximize your fishing output.

Fish the Alternate Nearby Spot

A closely related spot at 63, 40 has also been used successfully over multiple hours and multiple days of fishing, including taking breaks and returning.

Survive as Alliance

Alliance players fishing in Orgrimmar will face constant threats from Horde players and guards. Keeping a Invisibility Potion or Draenic Invisibility Potion on hand can help you avoid detection between casts, and a Swiftness Potion can help escape dangerous situations.

Tips

  • Old Crafty is a rare catch with a low drop rate — fishing here over multiple sessions across several days is normal.

  • Queuing for Battlegrounds and returning between matches is a practical way to continue farming at 63, 40 without sitting idle.
