Rockin Research
Destroy 100 boulders during the Researchers Under Fire: Titan Lockdown event.
Rockin Research requires you to destroy 100 boulders during the Cage Cracking stage (Stage 6) of the Researchers Under Fire: Titan Lockdown event, accumulated across multiple runs.
Join a Large Group
This event cannot be completed solo in The War Within because the artifact-gathering stage times out before reaching Stage 6. Join a large raid group through the group finder to progress through all stages.
Wait for Cage Cracking
After the Killing Fauna event concludes, position yourself at the large cave entrance. This is Stage 6, called Cage Cracking, where targetable boulders block the cave entrance.
Destroy the Cave Boulders
Target the boulders blocking the cave entrance like normal enemies and use AOE abilities to destroy them — they die within seconds. A large group run typically yields around 12 boulder kills per event, and two additional large boulders in the main task area are also targetable for bonus progress.
Farm Your Home Server Too
After completing a run with a raid group, leave the group and check your home server — the event often runs independently there, allowing additional boulder kills in the same session and potentially up to 10 boulders per Research event cycle.
Tips
Leaving your raid group after a Stage 6 run and switching to your home server's instance of the event can stack additional boulder kills in the same session.
Two large boulders in the middle of the main task area during an earlier stage are also targetable and count toward the 100 total — destroy them for extra progress per run.
