Complete the following achievements during the Researchers Under Fire event located in Zaralek Cavern.

Cooling the Research Field is a meta-achievement worth 15 points that requires completing a set of sub-achievements during the Researchers Under Fire event in Zaralek Cavern, rewarding the Field Researcher title.

1

Locate the Event

Travel to the middle of Zaralek Cavern and hover over the event icon on your map to see the countdown — the event occurs every hour.

2

Form a Raid Group

Join or start a raid group before the event begins, as too few participants makes collection phases nearly impossible to complete within the roughly 9-minute timed window.

3

Complete Both Rotating Events

The meta-achievement is split across two different events that rotate on a weekly basis, so you will need to attend both event types across separate weeks to complete all sub-achievements.

4

Tag Mobs for Hot Research Zone

During the event, tag as many mobs as possible to earn the Hot Research Zone sub-achievement — this one completes naturally after a few events.

5

Defeat the Final Boss

Defeat the last boss of whichever event is active to earn the Nothing Stops the Research sub-achievement, which is completed automatically at the end of every event run.

6

Complete Collection Phases Early

Collection objectives such as gathering 100 ore or 50 relics must be completed within the first approximately 9 minutes before the event forces progression into its mandatory final stages — prioritize these immediately when the collection phase begins.

Tips

  • Both rotating events must be completed, meaning this meta-achievement requires at least 2 separate weekly resets to finish.

  • Complete this meta-achievement as soon as possible during Dragonflight — the fewer players participating in the event, the harder the timed collection phases become.
