I'll Make My Own Shadowflame
Defeat the Shadowflame Amalgamation after using Umbral Detonation, Fiery Meteor and Blistering Twilight on a Forgotten Specimen Tank to create and extinguish a Shadowflame Remnant in Aberrus, the Shadowed Crucible on Normal difficulty or higher.
I'll Make My Own Shadowflame is a 10-point achievement in Aberrus, the Shadowed Crucible that requires you to apply Fiery Meteor, Umbral Detonation, and Blistering Twilight to the Forgotten Specimen Tank in order to spawn and kill a Shadowflame Remnant before defeating the Shadowflame Amalgamation on Normal difficulty or higher.
Locate the Forgotten Specimen Tank
As you enter the Amalgamation Chamber, look to the bottom-left corner of the room where you will find the Forgotten Specimen Tank against the back wall. This is the object you need to interact with via boss abilities throughout the fight.
Apply Fiery Meteor to the Tank
Drag the fire elemental boss to the Forgotten Specimen Tank and face it toward the tank, since Fiery Meteor always fires in front of the elemental. When the fire elemental casts Fiery Meteor, have the fire soak team absorb it on top of the tank, turning the tank orange and satisfying the first criteria.
Apply Umbral Detonation to the Tank
After the Fiery Meteor has hit the tank, pull the fire elemental away and have the void elemental's team drop their Umbral Detonation purple circles onto the Forgotten Specimen Tank, turning it purple and satisfying the second criteria. You can track progress by watching the orbs that appear above the tank.
Push Bosses to 50% and Amalgamate
Continue the fight until both elemental bosses reach 50% health, at which point they merge into the Shadowflame Amalgamation for Phase 2.
Apply Blistering Twilight to the Tank
In Phase 2, drag the Shadowflame Amalgamation to the Forgotten Specimen Tank and allow Blistering Twilight, the orange circle cast on players, to land on top of the tank. This will cause the tank to explode and spawn the Shadowflame Remnant add.
Kill the Shadowflame Remnant First
Immediately kill the Shadowflame Remnant before the Shadowflame Amalgamation dies, as the achievement requires the add to be defeated before the main boss. If the Remnant is killed but you then wipe, you must fully reset the instance before the Remnant can be spawned again.

If you kill the Shadowflame Remnant and then wipe before killing the Shadowflame Amalgamation, reset the entire instance — the Remnant will not respawn in the same lockout.
