The Northrend Gourmet requires you to cook 30 of the available Northrend recipes, and completing all 46 recipes will earn all three tiers of the achievement.
Raise Cooking to 450
Train your cooking skill to 450 or higher with trainer Awilo Lon'gomba so you can learn all the recipes needed for this achievement.
Earn Dalaran Cooking Awards
Complete cooking daily quests in Dalaran to earn Dalaran Cooking Awards — each daily rewards 1 award except Mustard Dogs!, which rewards 2 awards plus an additional 1 from the Small Spice Bag. Use these awards to purchase recipes from vendor Misensi.
Complete Two Quest Recipes
Two recipes, Northern Stew and Kungaloosh, are obtained through quests rather than vendors or trainers, so complete those quest chains to unlock them.
Farm Meat in Howling Fjord
In Howling Fjord, collect 5 Shoveltusk Flank at 29, 64 and 4 Worg Haunch at 30, 65; Chilled Meat drops from all animals across Northrend and you will accumulate 7 while farming other materials.
Fish in Howling Fjord
Fish in Howling Fjord at 47, 40 to collect 3 Fangtooth Herring and 4 Bonescale Snapper.
Fish in Dragonblight
Fish in Dragonblight at 59, 78 to collect 1 Moonglow Cuttlefish and 1 Deep Sea Monsterbelly.
Fish in Wintergrasp
Fish anywhere in Wintergrasp to collect 4 Musselback Sculpin, 6 Nettlefish, and 6 Glacial Salmon.
Farm Materials in Borean Tundra
In Borean Tundra, fish at 41, 13 for 3 Rockfin Grouper and at 41, 17 for 3 Succulent Clam Meat, fish at 52, 46 for 3 Dragonfin Angelfish, and collect 5 Worm Meat from mobs at 78, 25.
Gather Remaining Materials
You will also need 8 Chunk o' Mammoth, 1 Shoveltusk Meat, 1 Succulent Orca Blubber, 1 Barrelhead Goby, 2 Imperial Manta Ray, 7 Rhino Meat, 1 Savory Snowplum, 2 Tundra Berries, 2 Simple Flour, 1 Northern Egg, 1 Essence of Undeath, 1 Mote of Shadow, and 26 Northern Spices across various Northrend zones.
Cook All Recipes
With all materials gathered, cook each recipe — for example, Firecracker Salmon requires 1 Glacial Salmon and 1 Northern Spices; Gigantic Feast requires 2 Deep Sea Monsterbelly, 2 Chunk o' Mammoth, 2 Rockfin Grouper, and 1 Northern Spices; Rhinolicious Wormsteak requires 1 Worm Meat, 1 Rhino Meat, and 1 Northern Spices — until you have cooked at least 30 distinct Northrend recipes to earn The Northrend Gourmet.
Tips
When cooking Critter Bites (2 Chilled Meat, 1 Northern Spices), a single craft yields 4 Critter Bites, which can be used toward the Critter Gitter achievement if you have not completed it yet.
