Turn War Mode on before heading out, as all 50 dismounts must be scored against enemy players flagged for PvP combat.

For the fastest completion (around 30 minutes), have a Battle.net friend log onto a character of the opposing faction, then mark them with a skull using /run SetRaidTarget("target", 8) so they are easy to spot. Find a large open body of water in The Waking Shores to fly back and forth without visual obstructions from trees or terrain, then use Whirling Surge into them every 30 seconds on cooldown.

High-density world quests are excellent for hitting multiple players per cast. The Talon Toss: Shooting 101 world quest is a compact area filled with slow-moving dragonriders focused on aiming their tosses, and it partially overlaps a free-for-all zone. Park on a cliff above the area and dive in for easy dismounts. Note that this spot is exposed — Warriors can use Heroic Leap to reach a platform and avoid fall damage if they get knocked off themselves.

The How to Train Your Protodrake world quest clusters many players in a small area as they use their dragons to carry protodrakes to the quest location. Parking on a nearby cliff and diving in with Whirling Surge yields consistent dismounts.

Travel to a The War Within zone with flying, turn War Mode on, and wait for a War Supply Crate to spawn. Fly to the airborne supply copter while it is still in the air — if an enemy raid is also chasing it, you can hit up to 10 players with a single well-timed Whirling Surge cast. Crates have predictable respawn timers, so rotate between zones to chain spawns.

At 51.83, 42.07 there is a turn-around point where players make a U-turn. Ascend to the ceiling of the flyable area and slowly descend toward that spot to give yourself enough time to line up Whirling Surge. Avoid rushing the cast — players at this spot make sudden 90-degree turns and rapid ascents that make timing more difficult if you commit too early.

Tyrhold, active Elemental Storms, Grand Hunt events, and the PvP world quest boss area all gather large numbers of players in tight spaces, making each Whirling Surge more likely to hit multiple targets at once.
