Wintergrasp Veteran
Win 100 battles for Wintergrasp.
Wintergrasp Veteran requires winning 100 battles in Lake Wintergrasp, earned by participating in and winning the battle before it concludes.
Understand the time commitment
Each Wintergrasp battle lasts 30 minutes with a 2 hour 30 minute wait between battles, meaning 100 wins requires roughly 250 to 300 hours of real-world time assuming you win every battle.
Earn participation before battle ends
You must earn at least one Honorable Kill during the battle to receive credit toward the achievement — joining late and failing to get any HKs before the battle finishes will not count as a win.
Use the NPC DoT trick when defending
If no opposing faction players have signed up, Wintergrasp will teleport all players out before the battle starts — however, if you apply a damage-over-time effect on an enemy NPC just before the battle begins, the kill registers after you are teleported out, counting you as a participant and awarding a win.
Prioritize towers when defending
Head to the southern central tower first, killing any guards along the way, then destroy all tower cannons before moving east or west to the next tower and repeating the process.
Cap workshops and use demolishers
After clearing towers, return to the nearest workshop, capture it, and build a demolisher to attack remaining towers from range, then fall back to the keep for the final minutes of the battle.
Tips
At 10 hours of play per day with a 50/50 win-loss ratio, completing 100 wins realistically takes around 64 days — factoring in the 2.5-hour cooldown between battles.
