Great Shots Galore!
Take 100 "Great Shots" while cataloging wildlife.
Great Shots Galore! requires you to take 100 Great Shots while cataloging wildlife during balloon ride quests in Dragonflight zones.
Join a Raid Group
Before starting a balloon ride, join a raid group. Being in a raid prevents the World Quest from completing, letting you take as many shots as needed across unlimited rides without resetting your progress toward the achievement.
Ride in Thaldraszus
Take the balloon ride in Thaldraszus and focus on the Marmoni, who almost always perform a special arm movement that counts as a Great Shot. This location provides a reliable and repeatable source of credit per ride.
Identify Blue-Hued Wildlife
When pointing the camera at wildlife, look for a blue hue highlighting the creature — this indicates it will grant credit for a Great Shot. In Ohn'aran Plains, confirmed wildlife events that trigger Great Shots include a beaver carrying a log, a goat jumping, a salamander growling, a water elemental spewing water, a bird carrying a caught fish, ducks ruffling their feathers at one another, creatures fighting each other, and a sabertooth in motion.
Abandon and Repeat the Quest
Pick up the Pictures with Purpose quest to start a ride, and once the ride ends or the progress bar reaches 100%, abandon the quest and pick it up again. Repeating this loop across multiple rides accumulates Great Shots toward the 100 needed for the achievement.
Tips
Wildlife event timing during a ride can vary — the same event may occur earlier or later on different attempts, so stay ready throughout the entire ride.
