Stormed Off
Defeat 8 special creatures during storm events in the Dragon Isles.
Stormed Off requires you to defeat 8 special rare creatures that spawn during storm events across the Dragon Isles.
Identify Your Storm Type
Four storm types cycle through the Dragon Isles, each spawning their own set of rares: Thunderstorms spawn Pipspark Thundersnap, Voraazka, Gaelzion, and Karantun; Sandstorms spawn Grizzlerock, Zurgaz Corebreaker, Bouldron, and Gravlion; Firestorms spawn Neela Firebane, Kain Firebrand, Emblazion, and Infernum; Snowstorms spawn Frozion, Rouen Icewind, Leerain, and Crystalus.
Kill the First Rare
When a storm begins, a rare spawns immediately at the event's start — this is your first opportunity. Your UI will display a shout in the middle of your screen and in your chat log when the rare appears, and it is instantly attackable with no warmup period, so position yourself centrally within the storm area to reach it quickly.
Wait for Respawns
After the first rare is killed, subsequent rares respawn roughly every 35–50 minutes within the same storm event; waiting approximately 35 minutes from the time of the previous kill is a reliable respawn window.
Use a Raid Group
Form a raid group while camping for rares, as waiting solo on a single shard can result in rares failing to respawn; being in a raid group helps maintain consistent spawns across attempts.
Collect Storm Formula Drops
Each rare has a chance to drop its corresponding enchanting formula: Thunderstorm rares drop
Formula: Illusion: Primal Air, Sandstorm rares drop
Formula: Illusion: Primal Earth, Firestorm rares drop
Formula: Illusion: Primal Fire, and Snowstorm rares drop
Formula: Illusion: Primal Frost.
Tips
Killing rares across all four storm types counts toward the 8 required defeats, so you do not need to focus on a single storm type.
The first rare of any storm event spawns immediately when the event begins, making that initial spawn the fastest and most predictable kill opportunity.
