Are You My Broodmother?
Defeat Kyrakka and Erkhart Stormvein after chilling, searing, tempering, and keeping alive the Nascent Ruby Egg in Ruby Life Pools on Mythic difficulty.
Are You My Broodmother? is a 10-point Mythic difficulty achievement earned in Ruby Life Pools by carrying the Nascent Ruby Egg through the dungeon and exposing it to specific abilities across all three bosses before defeating Kyrakka and Erkhart Stormvein.
Pick Up the Egg
At the start of the dungeon near the entrance, find the Nascent Ruby Egg behind a pillar in the grass. The tank should carry it, as the egg requires soaking boss damage and dying or mounting at any point will drop the egg.
Chill the Egg on Boss One
While carrying the egg, stand in the Hailbomb white swirlies during the Melidrussa Chillworn fight. Successfully soaking these will transform it into the Chilled Ruby Egg, visible by a gray fog around the egg.
Sear the Egg on Boss Two
On the second boss, soak the Ritual of Blazebinding ability while carrying the egg, which transforms it into the Seared Ruby Egg with a red fog appearance.
Temper and Sustain the Egg
On Kyrakka and Erkhart Stormvein, soak the Roaring Firebreath ability to transform the egg into the Tempered Ruby Egg, which drops to the floor, becomes targetable, and continuously loses health. Healers must keep the egg alive until both bosses are defeated.
Tips
If the egg is dropped and nobody picks it up within 5 seconds it disappears, requiring a full restart of the achievement.
Set the egg as your focus target so your healer can monitor and heal it during the Kyrakka and Erkhart Stormvein encounter.
Pull small groups of enemies and move at a slow pace through the dungeon to reduce the risk of the egg dropping unexpectedly.
Druid shapeshift forms do not cause the egg to drop, but mounting does — see the video guides for a full walkthrough of all three boss kills.
