Ready for Raiding VIII is a personal achievement earned by defeating Forgemaster Gorek in Neltharus on Mythic difficulty without being struck by Forgestorm, Forgefire, Blazing Eruptions, another player's Blazing Aegis, or the final slam of Heated Swings.
Enter Neltharus on Mythic
Enter Neltharus on Mythic difficulty and clear the trash mobs before Forgemaster Gorek to give yourself open space and clear visibility for dodging mechanics.
Let Gorek cast abilities
Do not burn Forgemaster Gorek down immediately — allow him to complete at least one full rotation of his abilities, including Forgestorm, Forgefire, Blazing Eruptions, Blazing Aegis, and Heated Swings, before finishing him off. The achievement appears to require that his mechanics actually fire during the fight, with a fight duration of around 30–40 seconds being sufficient.
Dodge every avoidable hit
Avoid all incoming mechanics throughout the fight: dodge the Forgestorm, Forgefire, and Blazing Eruptions swirlies, stay out of other players' Blazing Aegis, and step away from the final slam of Heated Swings — only that last hit of Heated Swings needs to be avoided, not the full sequence.
Tips
This is a personal achievement, so other players in the group can still earn it even if one member gets hit, as long as you personally avoid all mechanics.
