Defeat Captain Skyshatter in the Dragonmaw race on Netherwing Ledge.

Skyshattered is a 10-point achievement earned by defeating Captain Skyshatter in the Dragonmaw race on Netherwing Ledge.

1

Understand Your Mount Speed

Any 310% mount is transformed into a 280% Netherdrake upon arriving at Netherwing Ledge, so there is no speed advantage from your personal mount.

2

Learn Captain Skyshatter's Path

Spend your first attempts memorizing when and in which directions Captain Skyshatter turns, as cutting corners effectively depends entirely on knowing his flight path in advance.

3

Gain an Early Lead

When Captain Skyshatter lifts off from the runway, he makes a long 180-degree turn back toward it, giving you an immediate opportunity to build a lead right at the start of the race.

4

Cut Corners and Track Him

Keep your camera turned toward Captain Skyshatter throughout the race, and whenever he begins turning, make a sharper or earlier cut in that same direction to stay ahead; marking him with a Skull icon makes him easier to track during the chaos.

5

Reduce Lag Before Attempting

Zoom your camera out as far as possible, hide your UI with Alt+Z, and disable resource-heavy addons to minimize lag, as performance issues directly affect your ability to react to Captain Skyshatter's turns.

Tips

  • The total duration of the race from takeoff to Captain Skyshatter's landing is the exact same length as the song Danger Zone, which can serve as a timing reference for learning the race.
