Prepare Your Fishing Buffs
Equip a 
Khaz'gorite Fisherfriend with 
Enchant Tool - Draconic Perception, stock up on 
Crystalline Phial of Perception (quality 3), use a fishing hat that applies a lure, and consume 
Scalebelly Mackerel alongside Captain Rumsey's Lager before you start fishing — Perception directly impacts how fast you gather upgrade materials.
Farm Prismatic Leaper Pools
Head to Ohn'ahran Plains and rotate between the four Prismatic Leaper Pool locations at 86.08, 52.12 — 58.26, 31.7 — 56.59, 80.33 — and 64.48, 38.44. The pools respawn fast enough that you can loop continuously without waiting. From these pools you will collect 
Battered Imbu-made Net (need 9), 
Draconium Nugget (need 9), 
Salinated Serevite (need 9), 
Irontree Branch (need 9), and 
Strong Seavine (need 9). All five materials drop from all pool types in the zone.
Collect Khaz'gorite Wire
While fishing the Prismatic Leaper Pools, 
Khaz'gorite Wire (need 2) drops from the nets found at fishing holes — fish the nets whenever they appear during your rotation.
Obtain Khaz'gorite-Infused Resin
Khaz'gorite-Infused Resin (need 3) drops from rare enemies summoned by using an 
Ominous Conch — these rares are separate from normal and massive lunkers and will not drop the resin.
Tips
Deep Ice Pools and Overheated Lava Pools have a higher drop rate for the five green upgrade materials, but Prismatic Leaper Pools in Ohn'ahran Plains respawn fast enough to be the most time-efficient farming method overall.
There is no vendor to exchange surplus materials, so farming the Prismatic Leaper Pool loop will result in overcollecting some items before others cap at 9 — this is expected and unavoidable due to RNG.
