Growlbossify
Defeat Hackclaw's War-Band after freeing Chief Softpaw, equipping her with a spear and shield, and making sure she survives in Brackenhide Hollow on Mythic difficulty.
Growlbossify is a 10-point Mythic difficulty achievement earned by defeating Hackclaw's War-Band in Brackenhide Hollow after freeing Chief Softpaw, arming her with a spear and shield, and keeping her alive through the encounter.
Enter on Mythic Difficulty
Set Brackenhide Hollow to Mythic difficulty before engaging Hackclaw's War-Band. This achievement does not work on any other difficulty.
Locate Weapons Before Opening Cage
Before freeing Chief Softpaw, note the cage near the left entrance of the boss room, the spear on the left side of the room, and the shield on the right side. Pick up both weapons at the start of the encounter so you can deliver them immediately.
Weaken Rira Hackclaw First
Kill the two adds without killing Rira Hackclaw, then reduce Rira's health to around 20%. Rira can take incidental damage even when not targeted, so be cautious not to accidentally finish her off early.
Open Chief Softpaw's Cage
Open the cage near the left entrance to free Chief Softpaw. Do not open the cage while Rira is spinning, as that ability can quickly kill Softpaw. Once freed, Softpaw will run around in fear until armed, so deliver the shield and then the spear to her as fast as possible. High-mobility players should handle the weapon hand-offs.
Arm Chief Softpaw
Hand the shield to Chief Softpaw first, then retrieve and hand her the spear from the left side of the room. Both items must be equipped for the achievement to be valid.
Kill Hackclaw's War-Band Quickly
Finish off Hackclaw's War-Band as fast as possible after arming Softpaw. Bait AoE abilities away from her position, as the bosses can and will kill her if she takes hits during the fight.
Tips
Pet classes can assign their pet to hold Rira Hackclaw's aggro, making it easier to avoid accidentally killing her while handling the add kills and weapon pickups.
If Softpaw runs out of the room during her fear, reset the encounter — she will respawn when the fight resets.
