Mastering the Waygates
Unlock all of the Ancient Waygate locations in the Dragon Isles.
Mastering the Waygates is a 5-point Dragon Isles achievement earned by unlocking all 8 Ancient Waygate locations through a renown-gated quest chain.
Reach Renown Level 7
Once you hit renown level 7, a small dragon NPC will appear near you and offer the introductory quest Dormant Discovery, which begins the Waygate quest chain.
Complete the Quest Chain
Work through the full quest chain in order: Dormant Discovery, This Old Stone, Nightborne Know-How, Curiosity is Key, Power Procurement, A Gateway to Somewhere, and An Ancient Awakening, which unlocks your first Ancient Waygates.
Reach Renown Level 23
Continue building renown until you reach level 23, at which point Thaelin will offer the final quests needed to unlock the last 2 Waygates and complete all 8 for the achievement.
Tips
Complete the Waygate quest chain on the character you want the achievement on, as progress was not always account-wide and doing steps on an alt can cause completion issues on your main.
