Thaldraszus: Gold requires you to complete all normal dragon racing courses in Thaldraszus, earning a gold rating in each one.

Collect Dragon Glyphs First

Before attempting any gold-rated races, collect all 48 Dragon Glyphs across the Dragon Isles — including those from Waking Shores, Ohn'ahran Plains, Azure Span, and Thaldraszus — to unlock all dragonriding abilities and upgrades, which make reaching gold times significantly more achievable.

Use Surge Forward Effectively

Trigger Surge Forward to gain Thrill of the Skies before using Skyward Ascent or other dragonriding abilities, as Thrill of the Skies makes those abilities more impactful; also fly close to the edges of the golden checkpoint rings rather than through their centers to save time.

Complete Flowing Forest Flight

Start the Flowing Forest Flight race at 57.76, 75.01 in Thaldraszus and earn a gold rating.

Complete Garden Gallivant

Head to the Garden Gallivant race at 39.48, 76.21 in Thaldraszus and earn a gold rating.

Complete Cliffside Circuit

Find the Cliffside Circuit race at 37.65, 48.94 in Thaldraszus and earn a gold rating.

Complete Academy Ascent

Tips

  • Unlocking at least one extra Vigor from the dragonriding talent tree is enough to help with normal races without requiring full glyph completion.

  • Flying near the edges of the golden checkpoint rings instead of through their centers saves small amounts of time that add up across a full course.
