River Rapids Wrangler
Collect 40 fish during one session of Ruriq's River Rapids Ride.
River Rapids Wrangler requires you to collect 40 fish during a single session of Ruriq's River Rapids Ride, rewarding the
Tuskarr Dinghy toy upon completion.
Adjust Outline Mode Settings
Before starting, go to Menu > Options > Interface > Graphics and set Outline Mode to High, then under Outline Mode options enable Quest Objectives, Mouseover, and Target. This makes fish significantly easier to see during the ride. Find the start of Ruriq's River Rapids Ride at 45.02, 54.05.
Prioritize the First Pool
At the very start of the ride, begin throwing your net immediately — the net has a long range, so use it right away to trigger fish respawn timers. You need a minimum of 14 fish from the first pool, but collect as many as possible.
Exploit Fish Respawn Timers
As you progress downstream, pan your camera around to spot and catch fish that have already respawned from your earlier casts. Sniping respawning fish in the first area alone can yield 4 to 5 additional catches, which is often the difference between success and failure.
Manage Camera During Turns
The camera can behave erratically when the boat turns, making accurate net throws harder. Anticipate turns and reposition your camera early so you can aim at fish without losing track of them mid-ride.
Tips
See the video guide at https://youtu.be/0piEZOwJ6bI for a full walkthrough of fish locations and camera management techniques.
If you fail a run, fly your dragon away instead of accepting the teleport back — start a new run and your fish count carries over, allowing you to catch the remaining fish needed across multiple attempts.
