Wisdom Comes From the Desert
Defeat Skolex, the Insatiable Ravener after getting it to burrow under and destroy all four Memorial Pylons in the Sepulcher of the First Ones on Normal difficulty or higher.
Wisdom Comes From the Desert requires you to defeat Skolex, the Insatiable Ravener in the Sepulcher of the First Ones on Normal difficulty or higher after using its Ravening Burrow ability to destroy all four Memorial Pylons in the correct order.
Enter the Sepulcher of the First Ones
Enter the Sepulcher of the First Ones on Normal difficulty or higher and make your way to the Skolex, the Insatiable Ravener encounter. Note that Ravening Burrow requires more than one player to trigger, so this achievement cannot be completed solo.
Identify the four Memorial Pylons
Locate the four Memorial Pylons positioned at the corners of the Skolex arena. Hover over each pylon's tooltip to read its text, which forms a single sentence across all four pylons in the required destruction order.
Learn the correct Pylon order
The pylons must be destroyed in the order their tooltip text forms a complete sentence: Northwest pylon reads 'In memory of Liet...', Northeast reads '...Researcher of the Ravener...', Southeast reads '...who dubbed the name "Skolex"...', and Southwest reads '...and was then eaten by it.'
Bait Ravening Burrow under each Pylon
During the fight, bait Skolex's Ravening Burrow ability underneath each Memorial Pylon in the order above, starting with the Northwest pylon and ending with the Southwest pylon. Skolex must burrow under and destroy all four pylons before it is defeated.
Defeat Skolex to complete the achievement
Once all four Memorial Pylons have been destroyed in the correct order via Ravening Burrow, defeat Skolex, the Insatiable Ravener to complete Wisdom Comes From the Desert.
Tips
If a pylon appears to visually reset after Skolex burrows under it, wait 20–30 seconds before repositioning — the destruction still registers and the pylon will disappear after a short delay.
